Copy Dictation #2 - "We shall never surrender"
Grammar Assignment: Due for The Exchange on Friday, March 27th. Note that the Analysis Chart is below in the resource section! It's not a tough sentence, just many clauses - so plan ahead in your diagramming!

Assignments for March 30th - April 6th
Write out the first paragraph of the following text on loose-leaf paper - neatly, accurately, and in pen.
Read the entire text carefully, and give thoughtful consideration to the questions which follow. Write down a few notes about what occurs to you, and we'll have a discussion in our next Zoom class: 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1st. An invite will be sent to you by email.

Grammar Assignment: Due in the final collection before Easter Break, Monday, April 6th. Write out and analyze the sentences, as indicated. Don't forget to add the chart! (Analysis Chart is below, for reference.) We will diagram them together in our next Zoom class.

Assignments for the two weeks of April 27th - May 1st, and May 4th - May 8th
Due on Monday, May 11th
Read the text, "Rural Life in England" carefully. (A printed copy was sent home with the pick-up work on Monday, April 27th. It is linked here for your convenience.)
Look up any words you don't know and write out their definitions. You do not need to write this text out, but it will be discussed in our next Zoom class.
Complete the Grammar Assignment on your own lined paper. (A second printed copy was sent home with the pick-up materials on Monday, May 4th.)
We will spend the next couple of weeks reviewing analysis and charting. (Check the "Analysis Chart" below in the "Resources" section if you need a refresher!)
For the first sentence on that grammar assignment: re-write it so that it contains a subordinate clause (adjective, adverb, or noun clause, your choice!) Be sure that your new sentence conveys, as closely as possible, the idea of the original sentence.
We'll look at your re-writes during our Wednesday Zoom class (on the 6th) and analyze them together.
