Assignments for the Week of May 11th - 15th

Dear 1st Grade Parents:

Mrs. Cichos sent home work for your children on Monday, May 11th, which included the following:

• A spelling exercise, with words marked with the SWR phonics markings, to be practiced for a test on Friday.

• A list of words for the students to use in sentences which they compose themselves:

• Students are to use the words: why, happy, name, with, daddy, love, girl, son, and read

• Sentences with these words are to be written on paper and turned in with the homework drop-off on Monday, May 18th.

• Reading Pages: Four worksheets, one to be completed each day (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).  Worksheets include "America Remembers," "A Flock of Facts," "Looking at Rainbows," and "Facts At Bat/Who's Winning?"

• English Practice Pages: Four one-sided pages (titled "Let's Get Together," "Out on a Limb," "Batter Up!/An Egg-cellent Nest," and "Verb definition and Kinds of verbs"), one for each day (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).

• Math pages: Timed test for addition facts; practice sheet for addition facts; one sheet on multiplication of numbers by 0 and 1; one sheet on multiplication of numbers by 2;  one sheet of adding money and reading graphs.  Complete one page each day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). 

Please turn in this completed work on Monday, May 18th.
