Assignments for March 16th through Easter Break

Mrs. Cichos sent work home for students for March 16th through March 27th on Monday, March 16th. 

This work should be turned in on March 27th, instructions will be given by the school for submitting student work.

Mrs. Cichos will be available by email (acichos@olhcacademy.org) or by phone (for calls and text messages).  If you don't have her phone number, please send her an email and she'll provide it to you directly.

Assignments for the Week of April 20th - 24th

Dear 1st Grade Parents:

Mrs. Cichos sent home work for your children on April 20th, which included the following:

• A spelling exercise, with words marked with the SWR phonics markings, to be practiced for a test on Friday.

• Sentences which include these spelling words. The sentences should be read and practiced by the students during the week.

• Sequencing exercises: stories which are read and then list the events out of order, so that they may be re-ordered to put them back in the same order as the original story. One story should be done each day (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).

• Math pages: Counting Money. Complete one page each day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).

Please turn in this completed work on Monday, April 27th.

Assignments for the Week of April 27th - May 1st

Dear 1st Grade Parents:

Mrs. Cichos sent home work for your children on April 27th, which included the following:

• A spelling exercise, with words marked with the SWR phonics markings, to be practiced for a test on Friday.

• Adjective worksheets / Complete the sentence worksheets.  Complete one page each day, front and back (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).

• Sentences which include these spelling words. The sentences should be read and practiced by the students during the week.

• Geography/Maps: Four worksheets, one to be completed each day (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).

• Math pages: Counting Money and Telling Time. Complete one page each day, front and back (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).

Please turn in this completed work on Monday, May 4th.

Assignments for the Week of May 4th - 8th

Dear 1st Grade Parents:

Mrs. Cichos sent home work for your children on Monday, May 4th, which included the following:

• A spelling exercise, with words marked with the SWR phonics markings, to be practiced for a test on Friday.

• A list of words for the students to use in sentences which they compose themselves.

• Reading Pages: Four worksheets, one to be completed each day (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).  Worksheets include one on the "People's House," one on "Bunny Funnies," one on "Presidents' Day," and one on "Bar Graphs."

• English Practice Pages: Three one-sided pages (titled "Earth Pals," "Taking Care of the Earth," and "End Marks"), to be completed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; and two double-sided pages on contractions, to be completed on Thursday and Friday.

• Math pages: Telling time, understanding duration and time of day, etc.  Complete one page each day, front and back (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).  Also one "Timed Test" for math, two pages of single-digit multiplication problems.  PLEASE NOTE:  Do not time this test, allow the students to finish at their own pace.

Please turn in this completed work on Monday, May 4th.
