Read Lesson 52: The Catholic Church: Unity and Holiness from My Catholic Faith textbook. Then, complete Lesson 52 worksheet (posted here).

Thursday, March 19: Quiz on Lessons 47-49 (previously scheduled for Tuesday)

March 23-27 (end of 3rd Quarter), Due March 30th

General note for the week. There is a test on Friday that must be turned in with this week’s work so that it can be included in the third quarter grades. If parents would like to adjust the assignment schedule given below in order to take the test early, that is not a problem.

Monday, March 23: Read Lesson 53: The Catholic Church: Catholicity and Apostolicity from My Catholic Faith textbook. Then, complete Lesson 53 worksheet.

Tuesday, March 24: Read Lesson 54: The Living Church. No worksheet. Material to focus on: learn at least one event from each of the 400-year periods.

Wednesday, March 25: Read Lesson 55: The Catholic Eastern Church; Rites. No worksheet. Material to focus on: understand the differences and similarities between the Eastern and Western Churches; understand what liturgy is and what rite is; be able to name at least two Eastern rites.

Thursday, March 26: Study for Wednesday’s test on Ch. 47-55. Please note: In studying students should focus more attention on Ch. 50-55, since they have not been quizzed/tested on this material yet.

Friday, March 27: Test on Ch. 47-55.

March 30-April 3, Due April 6th

Monday, March 30: Read Lesson 56: The Bishop of Rome from My Catholic Faith textbook. Then, complete Lesson 56 worksheet.

Tuesday, March 31: No Religion work today.

Wednesday, April 1: Read Lesson 57: Powers of the Pope from My Catholic Faith textbook. Then, complete Lesson 57 worksheet.

Thursday, April 2: Read Lesson 59: The Hierarchy from My Catholic Faith textbook.

Then, take notes on Lesson 59 using the outline below. These notes will be turned in for a grade. (Please note that we will skip Lesson 58.)

• Complete “Lesson 62-68 Worksheet” using the following Lessons from My Catholic Faith:

o Lesson 66: Authority of the Church

o Lesson 67: Infalibility of the Church

o Lesson 68: Sphere of Infallibility

• We will have one Zoom class this week. I will help summarize these chapters for you and give you the opportunity to ask questions.

• Study for a test on Lesson 56-62 (skip Lesson 58 and 61) which will be given next week.

• Complete “Lesson 69-72 Worksheet” using the following Lessons from My Catholic Faith:

o Lesson 69: Indefectibility of the Church

o Lesson 70: Salvation and the Catholic Church

o Lesson 71: Schism and Heresy

o Lesson 72: Protestant Churches

• As last week, we will have a Zoom class on Tuesday at 9:00 AM.
