7th & 8th World History - Archive

By Monday, March 23rd

Study Sections “Russian Revolution” and “Aftermath of World War I and the Roaring Twenties” for a test that will be sent home on March 23rd to be administered on March 25th.

If you have lost your handout, it can be downloaded here or your parents can arrange a time to pick it up at the school. 

Parents - Please avoid giving the student any hints whatsoever. I will try to be available on Wednesday to answer any questions pertaining to the test.

By Friday, March 27th

Write a short essay on the section entitled “New Deal.” What caused the Great Depression? What steps did the government take to lessen the effects? Which government actions were effective? Which government actions weren’t? What were the positive effects of the Great Depression? What were the negative effects? Why was it so scary that FDR was able to stay in power so long?

(For the work that was to be completed this week - March 23rd-27th - here is a simplified study packet and the test.)

By Monday, March 30th

There will be no new assignments for next week.

Please continue reading the material passed out this week. 

Don't forget that the 3rd quarter ended on March 27th. If for some reason you were unable to turn in an assignment during the drop off on Friday, March 27th, please send in the assignment via email or contact Mr. Cichos to arrange a time when he can meet you at the lower school.

By Monday, April 6th

No new assignments for this week. If you haven’t already turned in your essay on “The Great Depression”, please turn it in on Monday, April 6th, 2020.

Assignments for April 20th - 24th

No assignments this week. Mr. Cichos will be sending parents an email which will give details concerning future assignments for the fourth quarter and future recorded Zoom classes. Please feel free to contact Mr. Cichos via email or at the lower school if you have any questions.

Assignments for April 27th - May 1st

Essay on World War II is due on Monday, May 11th.

If you haven't already turned in your Great Depression Essay, you must turn it in no later than Monday, May 11th.

If you haven't already watched the Zoom recording on World War II, try to watch it before completing your World War II essay.

Some time next week, I will be posting another Zoom recording covering the effects/aftermath of World War II.

Assignments for May 4th - 8th

I have upload two Zoom recordings on World War II and the Cold War to the Zoom Recording Link (7th/8th History (Cold War), April 28th). Please watch them when you get the chance.

Your essay on the World War II is due on Monday, May 11th.

Your essay on the Cold War is due no later than Tuesday, May 26th.

You may turn in both essays early if you complete them before the deadline.

Assignments for May 11th - 15th

If you didn't turn in your World War II essay this week, please complete it as soon as possible and email it to me.

I will be uploading a new Zoom recording on Vietnam/The Cold War later this week.

Your essay on the Cold War is due no later than Tuesday, May 26th. You may turn in your essay early if you wish.
